I believe what Styl really meant to say was Object Dock... cause he knows that windowblinds is not a dock...
Like zoomed icons on mouse over.

I agree OD is the best. That is next to OS X of course.

Y'z Dock also works great. http://news.designtechnika.com/downloads.shtml

What would be interesting (and helpful) would be for someone very familiar with each of the docks to point out why one is better than another.

For me, and I'm biased, I work at Stardock, y'Z dock can't be compared because it doesn't do the task list and it doesn't support icons and those two things are show-stoppers for me. But y'Z dock is very popular with some people and I would be interested in hearing from them.

The main reason I prefer Y'z dock is because it just plain runs better on my aging computer (PIII 1ghz) . The animation is nice and smooth.

I prefer ObjectDock, because of the icon support, and I like the way the config dialog is set up. ........ the tasklist, makes no difference to me, coz I don't use it.

sttroopers; I don't understand why OD doesn't work well for you, on a PIII 1Ghz.......... it worked great for me, on a PII 450 Mhz.
